A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after a crash on the A1 at Sandy.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after a crash on the A1 at the Sandy roundabout this morning.

The collision occurred between a lorry and a motorbike at around 7.20am.

The man was taken to Bedford Hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was blocked for an hour before reopening at 8.30am as traffic backed up in both directions including up to the Black Cat roundabout.
