A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with serious chest injuries after a crash in Hexton near Hitchin this morning – which saw an air ambulance called.
The collision, which occurred just after 8.30am on the B655 Hexton Road near the junction to Manor Road, involved a blue Vauxhall Astra and a white Mercedes van.
The driver of the Astra was taken to Luton & Dunstable Hospital with serious chest injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was also taken there with a suspected broken wrist.
The road is currently closed in both directions.
