A man accused of blackmail and fraud involving more than £55,000 has appeared in court.
Kian Esmizadeh appeared at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with defrauding £55,363 in unsecured loans in Knebworth between September 25 last year and May 30. He is also accused of blackmailing his victim to extort the money.
Esmizadeh, from Bedford has been bailed until he is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on October 20.
