A MAN was taken to hospital with head injuries after a late-night brawl at a nightlife hotspot.

Police officers were called to The Plaza in Stevenage town centre at around 3.10am on Saturday after a fight broke out involving up to nine men.

A man in his 20s suffered head injuries and was taken to Lister Hospital in the town for treatment.

Detective constable Hayden Coggins has urged witnesses to contact police.

He said: “There were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident who would have witnessed what happened and I would ask that they contact me in with information.”
