A MAN was hospitalised after being stung more than 200 times by a swarm of wasps yesterday (Monday).
Paramedics were called to London Road in Baldock shortly before 5pm.
Spokesman for the ambulance service, Gary Sanderson, said: "It appears the man accidently fell on to a bush and disturbed a wasps' nest.
"The wasps then swarmed around him and repeatedly stung him in excess of 200 times.
"He was rapidly treated by paramedics at the scene before being conveyed to an awaiting medical team at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
