A MAN was taken to hospital last night after he was attacked in Hitchin.
The 55-year-old, who medics said was intoxicated, was treated for facial injuries at Lister Hospital after he was assaulted in Bancroft Park shortly before 8pm.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault. He is currently in police custody.
