Man hit in the face in Letchworth

A MAN was allegedly hit in the face during an attempted robbery.

The attack occurred at around 9pm in a cut through off Eastern Way in Letchworth GC on Friday when the victim who is in his 20s was approached and hit in the face.

The offender is alleged to have attempted to take the victim’s back pack.

Following a struggle the offender ran off towards Cashio Lane.

The man is described to be in his late teens to early 20s and around 5ft 5ins/5ft 6ins tall.

He was of a medium build with dark brown cropped hair.
