Man held over robbery

A MAN has been arrested and remanded in custody following a police investigation into a number of serious complaints.

Emmanuel Buckland, 33, of Stratton Way, Biggleswade, was detained by members of the Bedfordshire force's priority crime investigation team on Thursday and appeared before Bedford magistrates on Friday.

He was charged with a single count of robbery, two of burglary and one of criminal damage. He was also charged with making off from an accident, having no insurance, taking a vehicle without consent and one of having no driving licence.

Buckland was remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed.
