A 59-year-old man is in police custody on suspicion of murder after a woman died from stab wounds last night.
Police were called to an address in Field Lane, Letchworth GC, at 5pm following reports of a woman suffering stab wounds. The woman, aged 45, was taken to Lister Hospital where police say she died at 6.15pm.
The man was arrested at the address where the woman was stabbed and remains in custody where he is still being questioned by detectives.
