Man from Bedfordshire arrested in connection with Jimmy Savile scandal

A MAN from Bedfordshire is being held by police investigating the Jimmy Savile child abuse scandal.

Metropolitan Police officers working on the case have this morning (Thursday) arrested a man in his 60’s in connection with the investigation.

The man was arrested at 7.45am on suspicion of sexual offences and has been taken into police custody.

To date 450 victims have come forward and the Metropolitan Police have recorded 200 allegations of sexual assault.

Officers are still in the process of contacting all of the victims.
