POLICE have been investigating for two days the death of a man in Chiltern Road, Baldock.
Officers arrived at the scene at 2.55pm on New Year's Day and found the body in a top floor flat.
An ambulance attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The flat was then preserved until the cause of death could be established.
Neighbours were concerned due the amount of police activity at the apartment for 48 hours and the arrival of scenes of crime officers.
The cause of death was initially treated as suspicious as the post mortem was inconclusive.
However, a spokesman for Herts Police confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon that foul play had been ruled out.
