A man has been dragged from his car and assaulted by a group of men.

The 24-year-old man was dragged from his car and assauted by five men in Cliton, in the early hours of Saturday, August 31.

The incident took place between 1.30am and 2am when the victim, who was driving a silver Volkswagen Polo, was driving along Stockbridge Road.

A silver Ford Focus tailgating the Volkswagen Polo, overtook the victim before braking sharply which caused him to stop.

Five male offenders, two Asian and three white males all aged in their 30’s, got out of the Focus and caused damage to the Polo before pulling the driver out of his vehicle and assaulting him. The offenders then got back into the Focus and drove away leaving the victim with a lump on his head and swollen cheek.
