A MAN has been charged with rape - 20 years after the incident.
Daniel Borgers, of Napier Crescent in Scarborough, will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday) after being charged with committing a violent sexual offence on a woman in Stotfold in October 1992.
The 42-year-old, a former Stotfold resident, was arrested by North Yorkshire Police in Scarborough on Sunday on behalf of the Beds, Herts and Cambs Major Crime Unit.
The victim, who is now in her 60s, was making her way home from a church when she was raped and has been informed of the development.
