Man charged after Stevenage dog attack

A man has been charged following an alleged dog attack last week.

Allen Talbot, 34, of Kimbolton Crescent in Stevenage, has been charged with having a dog dangerously out of control following an incident on Tuesday.

Police were called to Shephalbury Park in Stevenage, near to Kimbolton Crescent, to reports of a loose Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross dog attacking another dog, which later died.

A woman was also bitten on the stomach by the dog – which has been seized by police.

Mr Talbot has been released on bail and is due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on April 14.
