A LATE night attack outside a pub left a man needing hospital treatment.
He was sitting with a friend outside the Marquis of Lorne in Stevenage High Street at 12.30am on Sunday when they were approached by a group of three men and a woman.
After a brief conversation, one of the men is believed to have struck the victim on the head with a bottle.
The suspect, and the group he was with, then left the scene.
The offender was white, in his mid to late 20s with dark brown cropped hair.
He wore a checked blue, short-sleeved shirt.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call DC Mark Dunford on 0845 33 00 222.
