A MAN involved in setting up the Salvo Fair at Knebworth Park yesterday (Sunday) collapsed on the estate and died.
Paramedics were called to Knebworth Park at 8.29am, to reports of a man who had collapsed and was in cardiac arrest.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "Paramedics from Hitchin, Letchworth GC and Stevenage attended the scene.
"On arrival a man was found in a critical condition and following rapid treatment and stabilisation by paramedics, he was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage where sadly he died."
* Paramedics called a further ambulance to Knebworth Park at 9am yesterday, after a 72-year-old man presented himself to them, complaining of chest pains.
