A 23-year-old Hitchin man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after a spate of violence in the town.
The arrest relates to a fight on Sunday in Redhill Road following several men were reported to have been fighting in the Westmill area.
Police are linking it to a fight between two men outside Bar Chic in Churchgate in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers are also connecting it to a third fight in Aura nightclub, in Sun Street, after an altercation between two black men on Saturday, April 9.
Det Sgt Sarah Gilbertson said: “We believe it is possibly the same men involved in all three incidents and there were possibly witnesses due to the central location of two of the altercations.”
The 23-year-old man has been bailed while the police investigation continues.
