Letchworth man arrested on suspicion of attempting to break into Jackmans Community Centre

A 29-year-old man is being investigated on suspicion of breaking into the Jackmans Community Centre in Letchworth.

Police were called to the centre in Ivel Court shortly after 11.30pm yesterday, following a report of someone allegedly trying to force entry into the building.

Officers arrived and a man was found in the area who was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

The 29-year-old from Letchworth was taken into custody. He has now been released under investigation.
