A man has been arrested on suspicion of deliberately setting fire to a thatched roof in Codicote.
The 23-year-old from Whitwell was arrested yesterday on suspicion of arson.
Emergency services were called to Drivers End Lane after the thatched roof caught fire on Sunday morning.
The man has been released on bail until August 25.
24 emergency appliances were used to tackle the blaze. Police are asking for witnesses to call them on 101.
