Man arrested in Stevenage after claims he was harassing people for money

Police have arrested a man following reports that he was harassing members of the public in Stevenage town centre this morning (Monday).

He was reportedly asking people for money outside Greggs bakery in Town Square and police were called at 10.15am.

Officers arrested him for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order and a public order offence and he was taken into police custody.
