A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged with burglary at Hitchin market.
Craig Batten, from Radcliffe Road, is alleged to have broken into a locked stall in the market and stolen a laptop and mobile phone overnight between Monday, January 16, and Tuesday, January 17.
He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on February 27.
