Man arrested after Stevenage boy, 16, found with stab wounds

A Stevenage man has been arrested after reports of a 16-year-old boy sustaining stab wounds in the town in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police officers and an ambulance were called to The Muntings at about 3.25am and the victim, who had made his way to Peartree Way, was taken to hospital for further treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

A 24-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has been released on bail to return to Stevenage Police Station on Thursday, December 6.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw what happened, or has information about what happened, should call Herts police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/55004/18.
