Four boys and a man have been arrested in connection with a series of crimes in North Herts including poaching, motorbike theft and criminal damage.

The crimes took place around Lilley, Hexton and Breachwood Green between September and November.

Herts police made the arrests on Wednesday, November 5.

The suspects, all from Luton, are aged 12, 15, 16, 17 and 26.

North Herts Det insp Lynda Coates said: “We have been conducting inquiries into these incidents in the local area since they began and are determined to do all that we can to put a stop to them.

“This work is on-going and we would continue to ask the local community to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to us.”

Anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour should contact police as soon as possible via the police non-emergency number 101.

All of the suspects were released on bail on November 6 and are due to return to Stevenage Police Station on December 15.
