A 20-year-old man has admitted causing the death of promising Stevenage golfer Jack Mudd by driving carelessly whilst drunk.
Jack Kay of Preston Road, Gosmore, admitted the offence at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday.
Talented Jack Mudd was lining up a professional career in golf when his life was tragically cut short at the age of just 19.
He was a passenger in a car being driven by Mr Kay, which overturned in Preston Road, Gosmore, during the early hours of October 4 last year, and sadly died at the scene.
Mr Kay will appear at Cambridge Crown Court on December 9 for sentencing.
