A 26-year-old man accused of historical child sex offences in Stevenage is to stand trial in September.

Nathan Baker, of Woburn Avenue in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday afternoon.

Wearing a blue hoodie and jeans, he pleaded not guilty to seven charges of having had vaginal and anal sex with two girls aged under 13 between 2004 and 2007 – when he was himself a teenager.

Judge Gareth Hawkesworth adjourned the case for trial on September 5 and bailed Baker under several conditions, including that he does not enter Hertfordshire or have unsupervised contact with children aged under 16.
