A road had to be closed this afternoon (Wednesday) after a motorcyclist and a van collided resulting in the motorcyclist to come off his bike.

The accident between a black Suzuki motorbike and a white Mercedes sprinter van happened at 3.50pm on Hitchin Road, near the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Stevenage.

The motorcyclist was taken to Lister Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The road had to be closed for 40 minutes while the vehicles were recovered. The road was reopened at 4.30pm.
