A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a police officer stopped him in Stevenage while behind the wheel of a BMW.

An officer in a marked police car pulled over a white BMW in Primett Road at about 3pm on Friday, before carrying out a drugs test on the driver.

Following a positive test for cannabis, the man from Luton was arrested and taken to Stevenage Police Station.

He has been bailed to return to Stevenage Police Station on May 13.
