A MAN was lucky to escape uninjured when the car he was driving flipped over onto its roof and came to rest in a field yesterday (Monday).
At 1.59pm, paramedics from Hitchin, Letchworth GC and Stevenage were called to the B656 Hitchin to Codicote road, just past the garden centre travelling towards Langley village.
The fire service was also called, as initial reports said that the driver was trapped.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "A man was out of the car on our arrival. This young man was very lucky indeed to not have sustained any injuries.
