A man lost his shoes, mobile phone and wallet in a Letchworth cemetery last week.

Police were called to Icknield Way Cemetery in Letchworth at around 8.30am on Sunday morning after a person found a pair of shoes, a wallet and a mobile phone – with a small patch of blood discovered nearby.

Police were called to Icknield Way Cemetery in Letchworth at around 8.30am on Sunday morning after a person found a pair of shoes, a wallet and a mobile phone – with a small patch of blood discovered nearby.

After investigative work officers were able to identify the person the wallet belonged to.

A police spokesman explained: “They spoke with the owner and found they were safe and well. The property was returned to them.”
