RESIDENTS from Stotfold and beyond are gathering in Victoria Pendleton’s home town this afternoon (Tuesday), hoping to see yet another Olympic gold medal added to the cyclist’s collection.
Stotfold Football Club has opened its doors to the public, and is inviting everyone to go and watch as the golden girl attempts to add a second gold medal to her London 2012 tally.
She will be racing in the women’s sprint semi-final at about 4pm and, if she makes it through that round, in the finals just before 5.30pm.
The doors at the football club are already open, with a bar and seating available.
