The Jubilee Road Lidl has had a complete rebuild after the old site was demolished to make way for a 200 square metre store with a 143-space car park and expanded sales area.

Letchworth’s town crier Alan Myatt and staff were on hand to welcome customers to the store at 8am, with hot snacks given out and a Santa’s grotto for the kids.

A Lidl spokesperson said, “We are extremely proud to be investing back in to the community with the opening of our new Letchworth store.

“We’ve had a great relationship with residents here and we’re so happy to be able to re-open our doors and offer customers fresh, quality produce that is delivered to stores every day.
