A 24-YEAR-OLD woman from Letchworth GC has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault which took place in Letchworth GC on Tuesday.
Police launched an investigation after a man in his 40s was attacked in Howard Gardens on Norton Way South at around 7.20pm and left in a critical condition.
A 51-year-old man, also from Letchworth GC, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and a man and a woman in their early 20s have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
All those arrested are currently in police custody for questioning.
Investigating officer det insp Kay Lancaster said: “I am re-appealing for anyone who was in the Howard Park area around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious, or anyone who has any information about this incident to get in contact. Any information you can provide, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help us to solve this crime.”
