AN UNDERCOVER assessment of a tourist information centre has revealed that the quality of service is near perfect.
The East of England Tourist Board recently carried out a ‘mystery shopper’ style audit at Letchworth Garden City’s Tourist Information Centre, awarding it an overall mark of 97 per cent.
An assessor visited the Station Road-based cente, as well as making a telephone call and an email enquiry.
Owned and managed by the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, Heather McLaughlin, manager of the centre, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with this glowing and positive review. It’s a real credit to the hard work and dedication of my team, showcasing the exemplary effort in delivering this excellent service to both visitors and residents of the world’s first Garden City”.
