Teenagers involved in the National Citizen Service in Letchworth have organised a charity quiz and raffle night for Carers in Hertfordshire.

NCS brings teenagers together for a four-week course, which involves teambuilding activities, residential trips and a community project.

One Letchworth team have been working to secure venues and designing posters – with the end goal of raising money for the charity, which provides support to unpaid carers across the county.

Team member Rebekah Timms said: “My group and I chose this charity because of the great support they provide, especially to young people.

“We recognise its impact as it currently supports a number of our team members. We also wanted to have a positive impact on our local community,

“At the event there will be prizes up for grabs for the quiz winners, as well as a raffle.

“The more people attend, the more help we can give to this wonderful charity that does so much important work within the community.”

The quiz and raffle will take place at the Icknield Centre tomorrow from 7pm to 9.30pm. Tickets cost £2 for adults and £1 for children.

Anyone who wishes to attend should email ncs.letchworth@gmail.com.
