Police and the fire service were called to a car fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The black Volkswagen, which was well alight in Rivermead, Hitchin, had been reported stolen at around 7pm on Friday from an address in Western Way, Letchworth.
Fire crews from Hitchin attended the scene and had put the fire out by 1.05am.
