Standalone Farm in Letchworth will be opening earlier than ever before, with the doors open for the 2018 season from Saturday – just in time for half term.

Kicking off a special week of activities is a kids’ press conference at 11.30am on Saturday, where children can ask Farmer Andrew anything they would like to know about Standalone Farm and the animals that live there.

From Monday until Friday, Einstein’s Entertainers will be bringing some silly science fun to the farm, with two hour-long sessions running at 11.30am and 1.30pm at the picnic barn. Places are limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.

There will be plenty of time to say hello to all the animals, burn off some energy on the play equipment, get hands on with milking and feeding.

Standalone’s Vanessa Sawyer said: “Visitor numbers were up again in 2017, with a record 85,000 people visiting, so the earlier opening has been driven by demand. We have already had plenty of feedback from customers who are excited about the earlier opening and the special events programme we have brought together and can’t wait to open the doors in a few weeks time.”

Annual passes for the farm, which allow entry for a year, cost £75 for two adults and up to three children.

Day tickets cost £24 for a family, or £7 per adult and £5.50 per child.
