Letchworth’s Heritage Foundation is looking to explore more eco-friendly alternatives in some of its businesses.
Canned water and paper straws are just some of the changes taking place at the Broadway Cinema & Theatre and Standalone Farm, as part of a combined effort to become more environmentally sound.
The cinema and theatre will also be introducing new recyclable cups for drinks and providing multiple new recycling bins throughout the building.
On Tuesday, A Plastic Ocean will be screened as part of the Letchworth Festival. Released in 2016, the documentary explores the fragile state of the oceans.
At Standalone Farm a new show and tell conservation area is being created to help provide visitors with information and ideas on how to boost eco-friendly initiatives at home.
