Rotarians in Letchworth raised a record £1,338 for good causes at their annual partners quiz on Saturday night.

Letchworth Howard Rotary Club’s 25th anniversary quiz at St George’s Church hall raised the tidy sum to help Garden House Hospice Care and Magic Breakfast, which provides healthy school breakfasts to malnourished children in disadvantaged areas of the UK.

The evening was organised by Karen Green, wife of club president Colin Green, with a band of supporters.

The club’s own charitable fund is also set to receive a top-up from the event, helping to enable rapid responses to emergency events and aiding the club’s own community activities during the year.
