A 31-year-old Letchworth man has appeared in court accused of raping and sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 in Hitchin.
Nicholas Day, of Wilbury Hills Road, appeared before magistrates at Hatfield Remand Court on Thursday charged with four counts of raping a girl under 13, and two of sexually assaulting a girl under 13.
The alleged offences are described on the charge sheet as happening between March 2016 and this month.
The 31-year-old is yet to enter a plea. He has been remanded in custody and is next set to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, March 23.
