A UNIVERSITY lecturer explored the relationship between art and the internet on a pedestal in the heart of the capital yesterday.
More used to twittering of a different kind, Nelson looked on as Letchworth’s Melissa Terras, a senior lecturer in electronic communication at London’s University College got up on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square for an hour to 'tweet' as part of artist Anthony Gormley’s One And Other project.
She said: "I specialise in the use of computing in the arts and heritage sectors, and so it's really interesting for me to take part in this artwork. I had a great time interacting with the world on (social networking site) twitter - talking to people from the USA, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and the UK!
