A Letchworth girl has been charged with six shoplifting offences in Hitchin.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Wednesday after she was believed to be shoplifting in Family Bargains and Tesco Express.
The girl has also been charged with a further four offences that are alleged to have taken place during January and February at Boots, Morrisons, Superdrug and Wilko stores in Hitchin.
Curling tongs, cosmetics, perfume, food, a torch and batteries are some of the items alleged to have been stolen.
The girl was released on bail and is due to appear at Stevenage youth court on April 2.
