A Letchworth motorist who drove through the town with illegal drugs in his system has been banned from the road.
Kyle Gooch, of Spencer Way, was found at the wheel of a Peugeot 206 in Letchworth Gate on March 10 – with tests revealing a high level of cannabis to be in his bloodstream.
The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to driving with illegal drugs in his bloodstream, as well as possession of a bag of cannabis, when he appeared before Stevenage magistrates last week.
And chairman of the bench David Knight banned Gooch from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months – obligatory for the offence.
Gooch must also pay £160 in fines, £85 cost and £30 surcharge – a total of £275.
