A community hub which hopes to provide the people of Letchworth with assistance on all aspects of care is now up and running.
There was a full house at the Care Community Hub base at 19/29 Station Road – the former Concept Windows and Conservatories building – on Thursday morning as the team welcomed visitors to the advice centre.
Goldsborough – which provides care across Hertfordshire – wants the hub to offer information and advice to care workers, care service users and their families in all aspects of home care.
The care provider, which operates under the Allied Healthcare brand, believes that there is a gap in the market for a facility offering advice on care in Letchworth and the surrounding area.
The ribbon for the opening at the hub – which will also be used for training sessions – was cut by Iain MacBeath, director of the health and community services at Herts County Council.
