Letchworth dementia club and North Herts Museum will host special events to mark World Alzheimer’s Day tomorrow.

The Kingfisher Club – which gives people living with dementia the opportunity to take part in enjoyable activities – will hold a special open day to mark the occasion.

The event will run from 11am until 4.30pm at Macfadyen Webb House, and will include an exercise class, afternoon tea, a reminiscing session and an Elvis tribute act. Anyone living with dementia, and their carers, are welcome.

Howard Cottage Housing Association works in partnership with North Hertfordshire District Council to run the Kingfisher Club at Macfadyen Webb House every Thursday from 10am to 3pm for people living with dementia – for more see howard-cottage.co.uk/dementia-clubs.

North Hertfordshire Museum will also be supporting the day by holding a reminiscence coffee morning in Hitchin Town Hall from 11am to 12.30pm tomorrow.
