Staff at Garden House Hospice Care are celebrating the opening of a fourth charity shop in Stevenage.

The new store in Broadwater was officially opened yesterday by MP Stephen McPartland and Stevenage mayor Councillor Margaret Notley alongside the Letchworth-based hospice’s chief executive Sue Plummer.

This latest addition is the ninth shop in North Herts and Stevenage.

Staff are welcoming goods donations including clothes, shoes, toys, CDs, DVDs, books, homeware, furniture, electrical goods or mobile phones.

“The hospice is pleased to be able to provide end of life care and associated services for the population of Stevenage, it is a major town within our catchment area,” said Sue.

“We are appreciative of all the support we get from our existing shops in the town and are excited to be opening our ninth shop.”
