Events took place across the country on Friday and the surrounding days, including a few in Letchworth and Weston, in aid of BBC Children in Need.
Weston Primary and Nursery schoolchildren took part in a bake off, raising more than £200 for the charity which supports 2,400 children’s projects across the UK.
The children got stuck in with making gingerbread men and decorating biscuits and cup cakes every day last week, while the rest of the school came to school dressed in spots of Pudsey and had a cake sale.
At the Garden City Academy in Letchworth, children raised money with a pyjama day and cake sale and games including target golf, guess the name of the bear and ball toss.
The school raised £570 for Children in Need.
The BBC charity has raised £1bn since it began the annual fundraiser in 1980 which aims to help children facing a range of obstacles including poverty and abuse.
