Let The Music Play – The Big Reunion was first launched in 2014 to raise funds for Cancer Hair Care, which is a charity founded in 2011 by Jasmin Julia Gupta to help people who have suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy.

Twelve DJs will play music from genres including 70s, 80s, disco soul, jazz funk and Mowtown in three large rooms.

Jasmin said: “Last year we had 1,000 funky people hit the dance floor and raise more than £3,000 for Cancer Hair Care.

“We have had a challenging year raising much-needed funds for the charity.”

She added: “The grounds of Knebworth House are a fantastic venue and it really has an amazing atmosphere on the night.

“It’s a great night out and raises much-needed funds for us to continue to support people through cancer treatment.”

Cancer Hair Care relies on donations and people fundraising on their behalf to run the charity, and this is their biggest fundraiser of the year.

Jo Gates, who owns Jo Gates Hair Salon in Stevenage’s Middle Row and who is a hair loss specialist for Cancer Hair Care, attended last year’s event.

She said: “It was a magical night, really amazing, and the style of music is something everyone can relate to. Everyone had such good time.

“It’s a great event for people to use as their Christmas party.”

Jo got involved with the charity when she had clients come to her for advice and felt she didn’t have all the answers.

She now opens up her salon every Wednesday morning on behalf of the charity.

Cancer Hair Care not only provides advice on all hair loss issues, wigs, scarves and new hair growth, but also aims to help with both the physical and psychological issues of those who have lost their hair; sometimes just providing a cup of tea and a shoulder to cry on.

Tickets for Let The Music Play – The Big Reunion are £20 and are available from Jo Gates Hair Salon, Cancer Hair Care on Stevenage’s Middle Row, by visiting www.theticketsellers.co.uk or by calling 0844 870 0000.
