A Hitchin dance school is celebrating after finishing third in a prestigious dance competition.
BX Dance, who train in studios in Bury Mead Road, competed against 12 other dance academies and schools at the CKC Home Counties Street Dance Championship and Schools Cup – winning an incredible 21 medals.
Delighted principal Rebecca Alfano said: “My BX Crew kids won an amazing haul of trophies from the CKC cup.
“We finished third overall from 12 schools and competed in the solos, pairs, and battle events – which saw one of our dancers, Tyresse Hare, take on the world champion. I love all my dancers and am so proud of them all.”
Dance teacher Clare Miles from CKC added: “Thanks to everyone for making the event so much fun. It was great to see so many talented dancers enjoying themselves and supporting each other. The standard was ridiculously high. Well done to all the teachers and dancers.”
