St. Paul's Walden organist Peter Saunders organised a summer concert which featured Carmen Flores viola, David Butler violin, Peter Saunders on the organ and piano and Stevenage Male Voice Choir conducted by Paul Adrian Rooke. It was a most enjoyable evening! California girl Carmen plays with the Canadian Opera Company and is a brilliant artist and was performing a work by David Butler entitled Summer Music. This was its first performance so the audience was most fortunate to be in on its debut.

Notes for the Diary: Wednesday, July 12 WI Garden Meeting at Shirley's, Sunday, July 23 Musical Evening at St. Paul's Walden Bury.
