Was a time of great celebration at the Congregational church on the completion of the installation of the new windows in the church. As it was near Burns Night that was the theme of the meal served complete with Haggis, Scottish beef, raspberries and shortbread. One of the church members, Mrs Jennifer Kingsnorth, is a direct descendent of Robbie Burns, she provided poems and readings. Everyone's knowledge of Scotland was tested in a quiz and Mr. Tom Rainey played Scottish songs for everyone to sing along and enjoy. The evening concluded with Auld Lang Syne. The next social is on March 25, more details later.
